PVAC is pleased to present two physical shows each year and we have added a monthly on-line show.

  1. Spring Members Only Art Show - More than $500 in prizes awarded, show and sell your work. (Small entry fee) Artist award reception is held where you can invite family, friends and buyers.

  2. Fall Open Juried show - The exhibition and sale is presented at the Boyer Gallery at the Hill School in Pottstown. Any artist is welcome to submit work for this show (small entry fee).

  3. ) Monthly On-Line Exhibition - members may present one work of art each month to be posted on the website for sale.

Meet our judge for the PVAC Open Show this fall at the Hill School 

Elise Philips bio -

Where most people see the ordinary, I envision a painting."

Elise Phillips is a contemporary American painter known for her evocative landscapes and seascapes that capture light, atmosphere, and emotion. Her work is deeply rooted in the American Impressionist tradition, reflecting both her artistic heritage and personal vision.

Born in Wayne, Pennsylvania into a family with an extensive background in the fine arts, she graduated from The Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia and initially pursued a successful career as an illustrator and graphic designer. Driven by a passion for painting, she enrolled at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, emerging well schooled in the tradition of the Academy.

Elise maintains a studio in Elverson, Pennsylvania, drawing inspiration from the bucolic countryside of northern Chester County. Her work also reflects her experiences on Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and the Eastern Shore of Maryland as well as wherever her travels take her. Her paintings are characterized by their sensitive use of color and poetic brushwork representing light and form. She has been recognized for her ability to transform ordinary scenes into compelling paintings.

An award winning artist, Elise is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society and a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists as well as the Philadelphia Water Color Society. She is also affiliated with the Oil Painters of America and the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters.

Elise views her art as a visual journal, capturing the essence of the places she visits and the emotions they evoke. She aims to create timeless pieces that connect the present with the past, allowing viewers to experience the same sense of nostalgia and beauty that inspires her.

Perkiomen Valley Art Center  (PVAC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1957 to further art appreciation and direct involvement with the arts by providing cultural programs and exhibitions by area artists.

Program presentations and show receptions are free and open to the public.
