Join us for a behind-the-scenes look into the fascinating world of scenic art—where brushes are big, illusions are everything, and entire landscapes come to life on stage. In this engaging talk, scenic artist Colleen Algeo shares what it means to create immersive environments for the local theater scene. From faux finishes to giant backdrops, learn how scenic artists blend craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration to tell stories through surfaces. Her experience began in 2004 with the Peter Becker Community Flower Show, and continues today in local community theaters like Dcp theatre (Telford), Montgomery Theatre (Souderton), and the Civic Theater (Allentown). Join her on a colorful journey—captured in photos every step of the way.

Whether you're an art lover, a theater fan, or just curious about what goes on behind the scenes, this talk will pull back the curtain on one of the most visually dynamic roles in the arts.
